How to Enable "Subscribe to Blog Via Email" Feature

Hi,
For some reason we seem to be having some trouble enabling the “subscribe to blog via email” feature. We’ve tried several different plugins including jetpack however nothing seems to be working. If something says that it comes with a confirmation email the email is either never received or error messages come up.
Please help! We’re a new nutrition blog and we would love to get things up and running.

I just tried to subscribe to your blog and didn’t receive the confirmation email. I think Jetpack is likely your best bet as it is the most straightforward method by which to accomplish this.
First, make sure that everything is set up correctly with your host mail servers. This process is slightly different depending on which host you’re using.
I would suggest that you activate Jetpack, be sure that you have included the Subscriptions module and set it up and if it still isn’t working, then post a request in the Jetpack support forum. The Jetpack experts will be able to see what’s going on behind the scenes and give you some insight.
Believe it or not, getting email to work can sometimes be a tricky thing with self-hosted sites. Good luck!

I subscribed and received the confirmation email. Looks like you’re all set.
Since you are running a self-hosted site, I’d also suggest that you check out the wordpress.org forums. There is lots of good information in there. These forums are typically for wordpress.com requests.
