How to enable the CSP Header

  • Unknown's avatar

    HI,
Basically when I enable the CSP header on the website, the images stop loading or the images are not displayed.
If the CSP header is not enabled, then the images are loading fine.
How do I fix this or what do I need to do?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    Hi there!

Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem and what “CSP” refers to? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I may not be able to share the URL. CSP is Content Security Policy header which allows you to restrict how resources such as JavaScript, CSS, or pretty much anything that the browser loads.

  • Thanks for the additional details!

On WordPress.com, we take care of the site’s security for you, so you don’t need to worry about this. It sounds, however, like your site is using the WordPress software but it’s hosted elsewhere. In that case, we won’t be really able to help.

Are you adding the CSP header via a plugin? If so, I’d suggest reaching out directly to the plugin developers. You can also try asking at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/. These are official support forums for WordPress sites. Here we can only help with issues related to WordPress.com.
