Hi there!
Can you please explain what exactly are you trying to achieve? Do you want to use your Gravatar on a site hosted elsewhere (not on a WordPress.com one)?
-
I was setting up my gravatar profile and under the verified services section, I tried to verify my wordpress site. But when I entered my username, password and site address, I get this error.
Failed to locate XML-RPC API
Something went wrong when trying to locate the XML-RPC API on your blog. Please log into your WordPress admin panel, then go to Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing and check the box next to ‘Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.’
-
What is the URL of the site you’re trying to verify?
XML-RPC is enabled by default on all WordPress.com sites, but the account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any sites hosted with us on WordPress.com.
If you have a WordPress site at another host, you’ll need to contact your hosting provider to ensure that XML-RPC is enabled on your server.
