To remove it you requires CSS editing experience and must be willing to purchase an annually renewable CSS editing upgrade, and so the editing yourself. If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.

Just to clarify my 1st reply above you can close without a CSS upgrade but the phrase “comments closed” or its equivalent will appear. To remove that phrase that will appear CSS editing is required.
