How to exclude a category in the ;Category Cloud' widget?

  In the Category Cloud widget I am trying to exclude ‘Uncategorized’, but it does not take. How can I exclude this category? And what is a category ID?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Uncategorized is the default category and you have to replace it with a default category of your own. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/#setting-the-default-category

  Are you using the step by step tutorial prepared by Staff that’s linked to on the bottom of your Admin page? I think it’s helpful.
