How to export a blog and then import it to a new WP site?
-
I would like to export a blog and then import it to as a new blog a a new WP site with a new User ID
I tried to do that but I could only import it to an existing blog on the new WP.Also: what if I want to move some posts or pages from blog A to blog B ? is this only possible by copy-drag ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The support documentation you are seeking is found here >
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/You can export and import the entire contents. You cannot pick and choose. There is no means of autoposting any data which has been posted to static pages to posts instead and visa versa. That must be done by copy and paste.

No , it is not. Kindly do not reply any more since you either are mocking me or are not testing what you suggest

The export function will export all posts, all pages (including drafts), all categories and all tags (unless you filter the output before exporting). Sometimes, if there are HTML errors in the posts or pages, it can cause the export to be incomplete. Also, if you have an spams in the blog you plan on exporting it is a good idea to delete them as there is no sense in transferring spam comments over to the new blog.
Once you export the blog to your desktop, or wherever on your computer, you should be able to sign out, sign into the new account (if the blog you want to import into is under a different account) and then import it into that account, as long as you are signed in as an administrator on that blog.

One other thing I’ll mention. During import, if you have images on the first blog that you want moved over to the new blog, you will be given the opportunity to have wordpress do that for you.

Not actually. You can certainly export several before doing any importing to the other blogs, but no “group” export, no.

The exporting goes pretty quickly though unless the blogs have lots of content (I’ve got one client who’s export file was over 10MB). I had to break it up into several pieces to be able to import it.

You mean, if I have 20 blogs, I should export it 20 times and then import it 20 times ? I am not working like that….
I asked for a Bulk Action and the Raincoaster informed that to export has Bulk Action
Now you see it has not. Why did Raincoaster say that export has Bulk Action ?
Because he is mentally blocked. He cannot see there might be other possibilitiesNow the next question: what to do with an exported file ? if it is XML , then it should be possible to feed database programs with it. F ex Access (the most simple)
But I think it is not possible to fuel any other program with this file, except WP. Am I correct ?
