How to export images when exporting from wordpress.com to a self hosted instance

  Hi … I would like to move my blog to a self-hosted install. I have tried the export option but this only exports the content (posts etc.) and not the images within that. IS there another way to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  When you do the export, all of the images are linked within that text-only document. When you import that into a WordPress.org installation the import program uses those links to go to WordPress.com and fetch the images and other media and download them to the new site.

  Sadly we do not have any way to just download everything in one go. Sorry for any inconvenience!
