How to find an audience for your blog?

  I see lots of other bloggers have got a large readership. How on earth do you get that going on? I’ve only been blogging about two weeks. I read it. My wife reads it. And that’s it. Could it be that nobody is interested in the stories I’ve got, and my experience on the night shift, driving a taxi in Manchester? Some of it is funny. Some of it is grim. Some of it will make you think, and some of it will make you wish you didn’t. I’m putting it all in there. The weirdos and wackos, the sociopaths and traffic wardens (… or is that the same thing?) the drug addicts, crack heads, smack heads, bag heads, and even some people who don’t actually want to rob me or run off without paying the fare are in my blog. But nobody is interested, as I say. How can this be rectified, as the enema specialist said to patient.

  Try doing a search of the forum. There are hundreds or even thousands of tips in this forum on exactly that.

  Also search the FAQ for “beginner” and “traffic”.

  There is also a wealth of information for increasing traffic and such at http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/ Go to the “promotion” category. Also look through the other categories and posts as well.

  Good Lord. That was a quick response. Both replys were within a few minutes of each other. Are you Siamese Twins with only one Keyboard or just extremely helpful. I’ll settle for the latter : ) but would still be very grateful to the former. I’ll head over to the site mentioned AND do a search. It’s bad enough being ignored, but even worse being ignored by several hundred thousand people. Much obliged to you Raincoaster and Thesacredpath… hmmmm… put them together and you have the name of a band. Thanks again
