How to find blogs in my own language

  • Unknown's avatar

I want to find and read blogs in topics that interest me, by people from my own country (Sweden). But when I write search terms into the ‘search’ bar, I only get results in English. Is there a way to change search settings to prioritize blogs in a certain language? I haven’t found any.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,

Have you tried to type keywords of your interest in Swedish to the Search field of your Reader? This is the way how I found blogs in my language.

Also, if you add a keyword (like dagbok) + wordpress to a Google search, you can find some Swedish blog too.

There might be a better solution, but it seems to work, anyway. I hope it helps you find interesting reads! :)

    Cheers,
    Gina

Maybe the problem is that many words in Swedish are the same as in English. And so the search engine prioritizes the English blogs.

Sorry, I did not know that many Swedish words are the same in English.

I just digged a little deeper and found that search is available in a variety of languages.

International communities are very important to us, so from day uno we have language-specific engines for every language we support.

Try to use sv.search.wordpress.com for Swedish results.

    Cheers,
    Gina
