How to find out if registration has expired and how to renew

I did not initially create this and need to know if the registration has expired & if so how to renew

That domain name expired just a few days ago (August 27). Normally, GoDaddy gives the owner a few weeks/months some extra time to renew it, so it won’t be available right away.
You could contact the current owner and ask if they would be willing to transfer it to you. That way you’ll be sure you’ll have it. Or you could take a risk and wait for GoDaddy to release it, but then it’s possible someone else will snatch it before you.

Sorry, maybe I misunderstood the question and you already own the domain but you just want to renew it but you don’t have access to the email address that originally registered it.
In that case, you could try and get in touch with the owner of that email address to help you out.
