Why does my Home page on my new blog link back to an old blog, from which I exported my data to the new blog? How can I fix it? (I knowingly deleted the old blog) I would like the Home page to link back to recent posts when people hit Home.

Hi there,
Please post an active link strating with http:// to the blog your are referring to. Also provide the URL for the deleted blog. -
That doesn’t seem to have worked.
These are the urls
New blog: <asvlearningandteaching.wordpress.com>
Old blog: <sandye1.wordpress.com> -

On some themes, you click on the word Home or Blog to get back to the main page of the blog, where the posts go. You are using a theme where you click on the header image or the name of the blog to do that instead. So your options are: use a custom menu with the word Home or Blog and a link to the main page, OR change themes to one that has that already.

Thanks everyone! I’ve changed to another theme for my blog and the home button is now going to a page I want t to! I’ll keep experimenting until I find a theme I like best that does this too!

Themes with a built-in Home tab listed here (first column):

For the ones in the second column, you can create a Home tab as explained here: -
Hi Justpi, The issue WAS in the menu I had been using as my theme’s default. Thank you for your reply! As you state in your links, I have now been able to use my original theme ‘Choco’ by creating and selecting a new custom menu. I had forgotten about menus. Your instructions are very clear! Once again thanks!!
