How to fix ‘Deceptive Site Ahead’ when your site is not deceptive?

For some reason my blog sit does not appear when I type the URL, it just shows ‘deceptive site ahead’ and that ‘attackers may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing your personal information etc. However, this is not the purpose of my blog/site. Any tips to have this looked at or resolved and I can go back to my normal writing/blog posting?

I tried submitting with google chrome that it is not a phishing site so hopefully they review it but not sure of any other options.

  • Hi there,

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums as we have no control at all over your site.

Most likely the previous owner of your domain used the site for phishing or distributing malware, causing Google, Mozilla, and other browsers and security services to blacklist it. The only way to get it removed from the blacklists, is to request that the individual services review your site. If you click the Details button in the warning in your browser you should be able to find info on how to do that.
