How to fix "duplicate content" issues on WordPress.com (tags, pagination, etc.)

Dear Support Team,
What do you recommend as a method to fix search engine “duplicate content” errors on a WordPress.com blog?
Usual methods include “noindex, follow” meta information in tag pages, or excluding the /tags/ path in robots.txt, etc.
None of these seem to be possible in WordPress.com – how do you suggest we address these?

Hi there!
Search engines, such as Google, won’t penalise blogs for posts shown via multiple distinct URLs e.g. tag pages, home pages, archive pages etc. This type of duplication is considered non-malicious, as described here:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66359?hl=enInstead, Google will choose one place to index a post, and that will generally be the individual post itself.
If you’d like, you can use the more tag to truncate your blog entries. Using this tag, only the first part of certain posts will be displayed on the home and archive pages:
