I’m on wordpress.com and google webmaster shows over 100 errors with structured data.
Data type: hatom
Source: markup microformats.orgMy blog is hellorabea.com
Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you!

OK, thanks a lot for the quick reply. I’ll have a read of that link you posted. But maybe I’ll ultimately have to move over to .org to have more control over my theme…

Google announced that they were bringing their three-year Google Authorship program to an end https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JohnMueller/posts/HZf3KDP1Dm8 Maybe that’s what’s causing the errors in structured data or maybe not.

From what I have read the microformat error messages are related to the theme template creating a microformat field that it’s leaving blank (author attribute), but microformat errors related to your markups will not/are not affecting your rankings.

Thanks a lot! I already added a lot of information to my Gravatar in the hope that it would influence it somehow but I’m not sure if it does. Might have to wait a few more days/weeks to see if there’s any impact.

I’ve given up… Am still getting the same errors but couldn’t find any way to fix it other than moving to self hosting on wordpress.org…

Thanks for the link but the issue is that we’re on wordpress.com and can’t edit the HTML… If I was on .org I would have long fixed it…

There has to be some way to fix this issue. I also have over 2,000 errors being reported by Google and would like to fix this somehow. I prefer to not move to a self hosted site.

Can those of you with WordPress.com sites please give a link to your site and include some of the specific errors you are seeing in Google Webmaster Tools? It’s hard to say exactly what’s going on without seeing examples of the exact errors you’re getting there.
