How to fix my toolbar to include the "new post" tab

    Hi, I was recently added as a writer on a colleagues’ blog. Theoretically, once I activated my account and confirmed it I was suppose to be able and start posting. However, my toolbar doesn’t allow me to post anything. The “new post” tab isn’t there. All I have on the upper right side is my name (with the setting option) and a notification tab. On the upper left side I have the name of the blog, favorite and like tabs.
    Can anyone help me out and tell me what should I do to have the new post tab on my toolbar?! I will greatly appreciate it.
