how to fix the home page on theme STAY?

using the theme STAY I have problems setting a page as the Home page and get the customising tool to display the slideshow
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh yes I did, but I had to erase that page and create a new one, repeting the selection of the option “home” on the right side of the editing window… this time the template collapses and freezes, it does not display any home anymore and freezes when trying to access the customising wizard tool

NOTE: As you do not have a CSS upgrade you can skip using the theme customizer. All of the very same functions can be accessed from your dashboard.

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.
To do that create two pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

Yet now my “home page” displays the slideshow but underneath there is a fixed image I cannot delete (this image is not the selected feature image and does not appear in any other page)

Using Theme STAY there is a fixed image below the home slider which is not present in any of my pages and I cannot get rid of it… any suggestions on how to fix this… looks like a bug…

@gabriellariccio, your home page is set to your about page, but you included a featured image on that page, and also included it in your home slider. With Stay, you don’t want to include your home (front) page in the slider. That is why the image was showing up below the slider. I removed the featured image from your about page for you so it doesn’t show below the slider.
You should go to Customize > Home Slider and remove the about page from the slider. You can add another page if you want.
i would also suggest going into your Custom Menu and clicking on the little triangle on the right end of the “about” title bar in the menu and perhaps edit the label to something like “Home” or “Welcome.”
I also suggest that perhaps you edit your images in an image editing program and downsize them to about 1000px in width and then upload and use those images as your featured images so that they load faster for your visitors. Right now all of your images are around 2MB file size. If you can get them down to about 100-150k in file size, they will load much more quickly.
