How to follow another blog

    Hi there,

    I really can’t figure out how to follow someone else’s blog. I know that there’s supposed to be a button on the bottom right hand side of all wordpress blogs, but it’s never there when I look! At all. I can like blogs, and read posts, and visit people’s websites, but the only way I’ve been able to follow people so far is if they already follow me and come up in my notifications.

    Help?

    Hi!

    I have originally answered the same question from you a week back. Although, I am answering it here again.

    The “Follow button” at the bottom right will appear only on WordPress.com sites.

    1. If you are logged into your WordPress.com account and see that button, clicking on that will follow that blog and all posts will appear on your WordPress.com Reader and all future posts will arrive on your email too.

    2. If you are not logged into your WordPress.com account at that time, on clicking it, you will be able to enter your email ID and all posts will be sent to your email ID. (after confirming the email sent to your inbox)

    For sites that are not on WordPress.com (self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) sites), you can follow them by entering that site link on the Manage page (https://wordpress.com/following/manage)

    I know, sorry, I should have replied last time and said I still didn’t get it!

    My problem is that I am always logged in on WordPress when I look at people’s blogs (because I use the WordPress reader to find new blogs), but sometimes I see the follow button (to the right of their follow count on specific blog pages), and sometimes I don’t. In fact, most of the time, I don’t. Surely, any blog I find through WordPress reader is automatically a WordPress.com site?

    Also, I have tried typing in the website address of blogs I want to follow on my “Manage” page. All that does is redirect me to their blog, but it doesn’t give me a “Follow” button.

    Is there some setting the I haven’t ticked, which means I’m not seeing the “Follow” button where I should be?
