How to format a table
-
I recently updated a sort of “tags” page on my blog by adding images instead of the former text links. I can not seem to get the images to display as I’d like.
I am using Wu Wei. The width of my content area is 460 pixels. My images are 225 wide. I would like to have the images in 2 columns (6 rows). I messed around with it for quite a while before finally deciding to try to use a table to get it the way I want. It’s been a long time since I used html and I am rusty. The table continues to display with a border, when I want none, and with significant space around each image in its cell, when I want no space at all. In my Visual editor it displays as I want it. Is this an unavoidable result of my theme’s CSS? Can anyone enlighten me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes it’s a result of your theme’s CSS but not an unavoidable one. Change all your opening td tags to this:
<td style="border:none;padding:0;"> -
Thank you! That worked to remove the border. But there is still a bit of space between the images. I don’t mind how it looks as is, but I would like to see it with 0 or 1 pixels of space between the images. Any idea why there’s still so much space?

Change all of these:
<img class="alignleft size-full etc. etc.
to this:
<img style="margin:0;" class="size-full etc. etc. -

You’re welcome!
(As I forgot to mention but you certainly realized, the reason for the extra space was that your theme also specifies margins for images – more often than not, a desirable thing.)
