How to get a delicious.com rss feed to display in the main column of my blog?
-
I want to display an rss feed from my delicious account on my wordpress.com blog (entrepreneurshipeducation.com). I haven’t see how to do this so the rss material appears in the main listing of the blog. It used to work, but I can’t recall how I did it. Please advise. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can follow the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/rss-widget/ on how to add a RSS widget to your sidebar.

Understood. But I didn’t want to add it to my sidebar. I want the RSS feed to go directly into the main entry (the central column) of my blog. How can I do that?
On a completely unrelated question, how can I stop the comment function from appearing on my blog? I thought I turned it off, but I still seem to get comments to moderate.
Thanks,

I see. This is not possible on WordPress.com. There are no restrictions if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org installation. WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress, where you can take your questions about the installation process:

Thanks. Solved the RSS feed to main section by routing it through Hootsuite.
On the disabling comments, I have long-unchecked the “Allow people to post comments on new articles”, but I still get comments to moderate. I did go back to the edit page for the page that receives the comments, but did not “locate the Discussion module on the edit screen, and either check or uncheck the options it offers” as the http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/ page suggests. Next steps please?

Here is the edit URL for the page that gets the comments:

I don’t see any newly created comments on that page. The comments made on that page are all from March and April this year, which was probably before you had changed the discussion settings.

No, I had changed the setting back in December. It is only now that its summertime (& I’m a professor) I have time to work on this stuff. Thanks, Jerry

Hi Jerome,
If you don’t see the discussion module in your editor, you may need to enable it in your Screen Options. You can see more about that here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/#missing-discussion-module
Please let us know how that goes. :)

Rachel, I think you hit on the answer! I’ve disabled the comments on the page. I hope that ends the problem. Thanks. Jerome
