How to get a main menu with categories?
-
Hello. I am trying to create a page (currently using Cubic, wonderful design) where I can have a n number of categories (in reality just a link to another, identical page), say “Bread”, “Milk” and “Jam”. When someone click on “Jam”, I want them to be linked to a new, identical page (meaning it should be with the cubic pictures arranged in a tile-format) with say “Strawberry”, “Raspberry” and “Apple”. Then, when they click that link it should bring them to the article/post in question. Is this possible with Cubic or any other theme? I could also make it work if the main page is just the newest posts, but adding a way (I think this is possible in the sidebar) of choosing a category, and then be brought to a page with the tiled picture design for every item in that category.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Cubic theme doesn’t display tiled pictures for sub categories. It shows the tiles for Jam category and on that page, it doesn’t show tiles for “Strawberry”, “Raspberry” and “Apple” sub categories.
On the Jams category page, you will see all the posts that are categorized as “Strawberry”, “Raspberry” and “Apple” sub categories in tiled format. You won’t see “Strawberry”, “Raspberry” and “Apple” tiles.
To see what I mean, go to my test Jams page at https://chaittestpress.wordpress.com/category/jams/
Although I have three child categories (“Strawberry”, “Raspberry” and “Apple”) under Jam, on the above page you see the posts rather than child categories.I haven’t checked other themes but I am fairly sure none of the themes display two levels of category pages.
