How to get a widget to appear at the top of the site?

  I have a widget that I would like to place at the top of my site, but I only have the option of placing it on the side or at the bottom. Thanks!

  Widgets can only be placed in the widget areas and footer provided in any theme. https://wordpress.com/themes/colinear/

  Is it possible to get the “social” (instagram, facebook, and twitter) options to appear at the top along with the search site bar?
