How to get a .wordpress.com subdomain
-
Hi there,
I just registered sexobsessedlesbian.home.blog with WordPress — I was actually hoping for a more recognizable url like sexobsessedlesbian.wordpress.com (i.e. a free site as a subdomain of WordPress) but wasn’t offered that option when I was setting up my account (even though that url seems to be available). Is there any way I could get that url, or something similar?
Thanks,
SOLThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi sexobsessedlesbian,
You should be able to change your site address and select a wordpress.com address.
Follow this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/
Hope this helps,

Howdy folks –
The best work around in this case is to go to https://en.wordpress.com/typo/?subdomain=sexobsessedlesbian and then use the link on that page to register the desired address. No one else owns it so you should be able to grab it. Write back if you need anything else.
Also, please keep in mind whatever is created has to abide by our user guidelines. Let me know if you have questions about that.

Your not alone. I’ve been tracking topics regarding this issue for several weeks and have yet to find a method of consistently obtaining a .wordpress.com subdomain that pertains to the standard Create a Site process and doesn’t involve a workaround. The longest thread regarding the issue that I’m aware of is at Unable to obtain MYSITE.wordpress.com subdomains (started by me on 9 May 2019). The issue remains unresolved wrt the Create a Site page/process, and staff-zinnia’s suggestion above may be the best alternative available at this time.
