How to get an image to feature the entire embedded link?
-
Hello,
In a web administrator for a non-profit. We’re featuring images on our website to other non-profits and embedding links into the images so people can just click on the image and get taken to the non-profit’s website.
However, what we’ve been discovering is that when you embed a link into an image (at least in WordPress) it’s not making the entire image clickable. It makes a portion of the image clickable but not the entire thing. How can this be corrected?
For example, we have one image with an embedded link and when you the page is updated you can tell that either side of the image is clickable but the exactly center portion of the image is not clickable.
How does one correct for this so no matter where you place your mouse on the image, you can click on it?
Thank you very much for your help.

My apologies for a few grammatical mistakes. I was typing and thinking out loud at the same time.

Hi there,
Judging by the site connected to your WordPress.com account it looks like you’re using the open-source WordPress software and therefore you need to seek help at these forums:

The forum you’re currently posting is for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress software you can read this document:

Thanks for reminding me of the difference. But I have to tell you, I can’t figure out how to post to the forums because it’s just not clear. Every time I visit the Support Forums link, it keeps taking me back to this page: https://wordpress.org/support/ Then I select a topic but there is no option that I see allowing you to post a question. I’m a little frustrated. I just don’t think it’s intuitive.
Can you please clarify?
Thank you.
