How to get backup of database file in .sqp format

Hi, i’m trying to migrate my website over to BlueHost.
Unfortunately, it won’t let me do it the automatic way.

When I contacted support, they’re asking for a backup of the website files in .zip format (I obtained this via Tools > Export) but they’re also asking for a backup of the database files in .sql format.

I’m not very well-versed in website/hosting, so I am unsure how to go about getting this.

The site I need help with is doubledogdetail.wordpress.com.

    Hi there,

We don’t provide a database backup in the .SQL format for free sites. With the WordPress.com Business plan or higher, a plugin can be installed to download the full site backup. You can learn more about that here: https://wordpress.com/support/restore/#accessing-backups

In the free plan, however, the process is to download an export file from your WordPress.com site, have a WordPress site ready on your new host, and use the Import option (Within wp admin dashboard → Tools → Import) on that site to upload the export file.

You may also refer to this page to find out more about how to migrate from WordPress.com to WordPress.org: https://move.wordpress.com
