How to get basic exposure for my blog?

  I have been blogging for 7 months now and love it. Other than upgrade my websites and write blogs, I am quite clueless about what else to do to increase exposure.

  Is there any WP “community” where users can share their posts and expose themselves at least to other WP bloggers? I did noticed that click on “reader” or “recommended blogs”, there are other bloggers and blogs pop up. Can I have my blog “pop-up’ there too? I could not even find my website when I searched my name?

  @jingtennis – since your blog is a WordPress.ORG install – you are in the wrong forum for help – this is for WordPress.COM based blogs – that said – the site below has a ton of help on how to build readers – also if you look back in this forum a few days you will see tons of advice

  The blog I need help with is bejingxu.com.

  bejingxu.com is not hosted in WordPress.com and you are in the wrong forum.
  This forum is for blogs/sites hosted in WordPress.com.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum

  @jingtennis – PS – since your blog is not a WordPress.COM blog – you can’t have your blog show in the reader Tags – but people can subscribe to your blog with the reader once they find your blog

  auxclass, thank u so much for your suggestion! The web link you attached is amazing! There are so much to read. What a great site to start my learning of blogosphere!
  I also visited your blog and were curious what you were up to. Boating? I have taken sailing lessons one summer and it was a lot of fun! I am not sure how much I still remember today. Probably only how to tie a knot!
