How to get categories to show in Modularity Lite?
-
I LOVE that theme, it’s perfect for my needs…! Dropdown menu at the top too, you don’t see that often. But in the optional side bar, I can’t seem to get my categories to show correctly, not even with a category “cloud.” Only a few show, out of a goodly number of them… :(
Do I have to have at least one active post in each category in order to make the category show up in the sidebar or cloud? … I am assuming that is what my trouble is. Since this is a very new site, and I only have a few posts up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes you must have at least one published post assigned to any category for it to display. -
Yes, if there are no published posts in a category, the category will not show in the category widget. If they did show, then when someone clicked on an empty category they would get a 404 file not found error since wordpress would not have anything to show them.
As soon as you add additional posts and assign them to new categories, then they will show up.
