How to get Contributor mails to our inbox as a notification?

    Hi There,

    I have added my friend as a contributor to my blog. I need to know when he adds a post to my blog. So is there any way I can get an email to my gmail id, which tells me that my contributor has posted. I know that, unless I approve/publish his post, it cannot go online. So how do I know whther he’s added a post to be approved?

    He for e.g, might add a post tonight, so if i receive a mail from wordpress, in the morning I can see it in my mail and go ahead with the editing and approving stuff. Else I will never know unless I see my dashboard myself.

    @moviestudio The link is needed so the volunteers can determine if your blog is hosted here at WP.com for the sole reason there is a download version of WordPress over @ wordpress.org.

    as for your question about being emailed about new posts that need your approval your contributor will need to email you manually for the sole reason this is the only option here at WP.com.

    Hi t3ck,

    Is it for real? Because if this is true then its a big problem. For exmpl, if i have 20 people who are contributors, how am i supposed to know at a certain point that i have posts to be approved? the 20 people might add a post, or might not. So you are telling me that I will need to login to wordpress everytime to see if i have a post to be approved/moderated?

    Else I should be asking my contributors to mail me when they do a post?
    There has to be a workaround for this right?

    I am running http://techscouting.wordpress.com and will have >20 contributors. I am expecting something like 2-5 posts per day to review and publish.

    Would it be SO hard to add email notification?

    Please?
