How to get excerpts to appear on a category in motif theme

I have set up a blog on my site http://feelbetterclinic.co.uk/category/blog/ and can’t work out how to get just the excerpts showing when you click on blog in the menu. I’ve tried using the manual excerpt function on the post, but it doesn’t make any difference. I’d be happy using a read more button if that’s possible too. As it stands, the whole of every blog I write will appear when you click on ‘blog’ on the menu. Thanks in advance! Emma
