How to get expired godaddy domain over to wordpress

  My domain name with godaddy.com finally expired, but now I am not sure how to get it released so I can add it on my wordpress account.

  Godaddy seems to be holding the domain name. Is there a way I can get it back as I am still in the “grace period” after it expired a few days ago?

  WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name transfers

  Renew with Godaddy before they auction the name off and someone else grabs it and holds it hostage

  thanks, but I will NEVER re-up with godaddy. I was with them once before and swore that but then fell into their clutches a 2nd time. I have had so many bad experiences dealing with them.

  I guess I will need to take my chances when they finally free up the domain name.
