How to get full text to display on blogs?
-
Right now my posts on my homepage show an excerpt with a “read more” option but I want it to show the full posts. I have selected “full text” under the reader options instead of summary but it does nothing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks but Appearance isn’t there. I just have Custom Design, Site Title Tag Line and Logo, Colors & Backgrounds, Header Image, Navigation, Widgets and Static Front Page. There is no option for setting full content under any of them.
When I am in my WP Admin and I go to the Appearance there I just have Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menu, Background & Mobile and I don’t see any option under any of them either.

Hey there!
The theme you’re using will only show summaries on the front page, not full text. You can see that here, on Resonar’s theme demo:
https://resonardemo.wordpress.com/There isn’t a setting to change this. The Summary/Full Text settings is for your site’s feed, not the front page.
There is one way you may be able to “trick” the theme to display the full text of the posts on your front page. You can copy/paste your HTML content (from your HTML tab in your post editor, and place it in the Excerpt box. Generally, the excerpt box is for showing LESS text, overriding your theme’s default display…but in this case, you can choose MORE content, override the theme’s summary display.
Here is more information about Excerpts:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/You may have to experiment a bit for it to look just as you wish, but you should have success in this area.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.
