How to get Grid display with Twenty Fourteen theme

    My wife set up our blog on Twenty Fourteen theme and it’s layout has been visible as Slider from the beginning. She recently asked me to help change the layout to Grid in response to some comments made by readers, but when I went to Theme Customizer, then Featured Content, I discovered that it was already set to Grid even though it displays in Slider layout. I’ve tried switching them back and forth, saving and republishing, in case this was some sort of glitch, but there seems to be no change. How do I proceed? Could there be settings I’ve made for the Primary Sidebar or the Content Sidebar that default the layout to Slider regardless of what choice I make? This seems unlikely but it’s the only reason I could think of.
