How to get Homepage Images to Stretch

  • Unknown's avatar

I can’t seem to get several images on my homepage to stretch the full width of the page. The main image at the top of the page and several pages as your scrolling down on the homepage will not stretch no matter what I try. I’m not sure if my theme needs to be changed or if there’s some kind of code I can add to force it to stretch and cover the white edges?

Looking at your code in the web inspector, for the main top image there is a “max-width: 1912px;” set on your slider (Cyclone Slider). If there’s somewhere in your plugin settings to change that to “width: 100%;” instead, that should stretch the slider. Otherwise you’ll have to do it in the CSS. You’ll also need to set the image within it to “width: 100%;” and make sure your images are large enough to handle being stretched that far.

For the images further down, which are “.elementor img”, there’s also a max-width of 100% holding your images to their non-stretched size.

The main issue for the images further down the page that aren’t stretching is that they’d need to be larger images in order to do so automatically.

That said, you appear to be using wordpress.org rather than wordpress.com, so you’ll be able to get further assistance in the wordpress.org forums, or from Cyclone Slider’s or Elementor’s support forums.

You have been a huge help! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain things and clarify the deeper issue behind my stretched image issue.

    Have a wonderful day!
