how to get HTTPS on a subdomain for a lightsail wordpress website
-
Hello, I created a wordpress website using AWS LightSail that is online available on an ip address here:
http://54.148.125.33/
If you go to the site it says ‘unsecured’ url, and HTTPS url will not work.I own a domain address on Microsoft Azure for ‘bungeetech.com’ , and I added a subdomain so that
blog.bungeetech.comwill redirect to my wordpress blog. The only problem is that
blog.bungeetech.comalso does not work with https for the wordpress site. How can I make it so my wordpress site has HTTPS security for the blog.bungeetech.com domain?Do I need to map a domain through wordpress? https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
It seems to be asking me to make a plan with a payment money subscription.I have tried using some wordpress SSL plugins but no luck

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with AWS.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
And, they do have some options for you at https://wordpress.org/support/article/https-for-wordpress/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
