How to get inappropriate ads off my blog?
-
Some viewers have shown me inappropriate dating ads that show up on my blog. I know I signed up to have ads on my blog via the Terms of Service, but WordPress stated at the bottom of this article http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/02/12/no-ads/ to contact support if I feel the ad content is not suitable or malware.
I understand there may be ads on the site, and that’s fine, but I don’t want inappropriate ones.
So… any suggestions on how I can get them off, without buying the no ad upgrade? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have screen shots please upload them into your media library for the staff.
You could have one of several problems
1) real bad ads from WordPress.COM – is there a line with the ad “about these ads” that has a link to WordPress.COM? Sometimes junk gets through the check system
Are the ads stand along or linked to words? If they are linked to words they are probably not from WordPress.COM but in a browser
2) junk add-in’s in a visitor’s browser – in that case they will need to fix their browser by turning off all the add in stuff and turning them on one at a time until the bad ads come back – there is sometimes a bit more of an issue than this but I can’t remember the exact steps
I will also flag this for the staff to review

Thanks for the help.
I have one screen shot, and have already added it to my media library.
From what I can tell from the screen shot, I don’t see an “about these ads link”. I haven’t been able to view the ads myself, even while being logged out and on different computers.
The only “proof” I have is the screen shot. -
Sounds like your viewer might have a browser problem since the ads here all have the “about these ads” link with them

Hi there – that doesn’t look like an ad placed by WordPress.com, so I think auxclass’s second theory likely applies here.
Here are instructions for turning off all extensions in Firefox:
http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons
And in Chrome:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=187443
(Scroll down to the section called “Temporarily disable extensions.”)If the ads disappear, your visitor can try reactivating their browser’s extensions one-by-one to find the culprit that’s been inserting the ads.
Here are some more articles and tips for eliminating this type of browser adware:
