How to get link to open up in a new window

Hi there,
I would be so thankful if someone could help me with my posts. When I add a link in to my post rather than it opening up in the same window how do I get it to open in another page so my blog stays open?

I found this information by searching for “links” in the Support documentation. Please bookmark the Support site for future reference! http://en.support.wordpress.com/
If you are using the Visual Editor’s “Link” function, there is a check box in the window that opens that makes the link open in a new window. http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

It’s just I do all my posts from my iPad and there is no option to switch between text and visual so the option of opening links in a new window doesn’t appear for me!

Are you logging into the WordPress.com site or using the iOS app?
(Once you use the check box, that should remain as your default setting in that window unless you change it again.)

If you are using the iOS app, you’ll need to head over to these forums instead http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/ and you’ll need to create an account if you don’t already have a WordPress.ORG account.

I mostly use the iOS app on my iPad. If I log on to WordPress through safari and tick the box, will this remain as my default for all future posts?
