How to get "manage my blogs" to work

How to change order of blogs? ‘Manage my blogs’ under my profile doesn’t work. If I go to manage my blogs on the dashboard and then go to “My blogs” I can’t change the order in which the blogs I appear. I’ve tried following the directions (hover over name of blog and click up or down) but nothing happens. The little circle goes around like something is happening, but the order of the blogs doesn’t change. Since the “Manage my Blogs” button doesn’t work on my profile, it’s difficult to access the correct blog (since it won’t appear under my Profile; only the first 6 or so blogs appears). I cleared my cache and I tried switching to Chrome. Nothing changes. Is there a solution? Thanks.

I am sorry about the function for sorting the order of blogs not working. We’ll be looking into this. In the meantime, you can access the list of your blogs via this link: https://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/ – in this list, the blogs where you post most are listed first.

Please let me know if you find a solution. My blogs are not listed in the order in which I post the most. The blog I post in every day is down around slot 10 (which keeps it off my Profile) and blogs I have never posted in are listed before it. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

  • We’ll let you know when we have this fixed.

For now, it might help to make sure that you have your primary blog set via https://wordpress.com/#!/settings/

  • We’ve switched how blog ordering works. Your primary blog will be listed first and then the rest alphabetically by the name of the blog. The blog ordering functionality has been removed from the Dashboard My Blogs screen.

Thanks for the info. ‘Manage my blogs’ on my Profile still doesn’t work. Will this be fixed? Or can I only access my blogs through the dashboard? It’s too bad to lose the ordering functionality. Is that how it works for everyone now?

  • For the most part, we’re transitioning everything to http://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/

“Manage my blogs” via the drop-down menu on the right of the admin bar should now be linking there.

Mac, I’m not sure I understand your message. This part of my original question is still true. “‘Manage my blogs’ under my profile doesn’t work.” Will this ever work? Is this what you meant by “right of the admin bar”? The only way for me to reach my blogs I use frequently is to go into the dashboard, then my blogs, then scroll down. The alphabetizing thing is useless to me. Can I get all of my blogs to show under my profile? Thanks.

    Hi Carly,

When you click on “Manage my blogs” under your profile (in the top right corner of the navigation bar, in the menu that opens under your blavatar), it will take you to the following page:
    http://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/

There you’ll find your primary blog listed first, and the rest of your blogs listed in alphabetical order. At the moment, you can always update your primary blog under Settings, but cannot change the blog order otherwise.

I also noticed when I clicked on your forum profile name that it’s not linking to your correct blog address, you might want to update this in your forum settings.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the feedback but what I am trying to say is that when I click on what you just told me to click on, nothing happens. That is my original problem. Since nothing happens, the only blogs I can see are the first 4 or 5 that show before I try to do anything. The others never appear unless I go in through the dashboard.

Sorry about this, it is definitely odd. Which browser and version are you using? Could you please make sure your current browser is up-to-date, and then try this in Firefox? You can download it here: http://browsehappy.com
