How to get more views?
-
Hello everyone!
I seem to have good information and a great layout, but am just not getting the views! I have had my blog 8 months now and have had around 11,000 views, which is roughly 45 views a day. My blog is set up to send to my subscribers and Google (I don’t have many facebook friends). Some bloggers I know have tens of thousand of views in this time, but don’t really even blog often. It seems like the more I write the less views I get and their always from different days and countries. My site is http://www.igorcbyx.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do a forum search, please. We’ve answered this question literally thousands of times. And there is no www in your URL.

Raincoaster, every blog is different. I am just asking if you can glance at mine and see what if anything stands out that should be adjusted. Otherwise, don’t answer. Sorry, but it is so.

@igorcbyx
If you expect us experienced bloggers to provide blog evaluation services that consultants charge a minimum of $200 hourly for, on top of answering support question here as Volunteers day in and day out for 8 years that is not going to happen here. Hopefully, you are clear on that and you know where to go to hire a consultant if you need one.Code Poet is a directory of WordPress professionals, web designers, and developers brought to you by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and the largest operator of WordPress sites (20 million and counting). Here’s the link http://codepoet.com/
Also if you are not going to search the tags en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/ and support docs http://support.wordpress.com before posting new threads then you will never become a successful blogger. :(

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/postaday/ebook-grow-traffic/If you want to increase traffic then don’t listen to anyone who professes there are passive ways of doing that. Increasing traffic to a blog is hard work. If you want your blog to rank well in search engine results then that begins with creating and publishing original content ie. unique content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet.

If you are using a WordPress.com theme good SEO is a given. However, going beyond the theme what the blogger has done within that structure is worth evaluating. Whether you write informative, persuasive or controversial content learning how search engines work, and how to apply basic SEO to you content will benefit your blog as it will increase traffic from targeted readers. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/10/21/two-seo-videos-for-bloggers/

Here’s another freebie for you. It’s a page loading time report from
Your website is faster than 33% of all tested websites
In the vernacular, that means your site loads like very slow and very fat pig. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/blQAPV/http://igorcbyx.wordpress.com/
These are the ways to reduce page loading time:
1. Edit posts and insert “the more tag” so only excerpts appear on the front page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
2. Reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most _ posts3. Reduce the number of images and or media embeds displayed and/or make them smaller.
4. Reduce the number of widgets in the sidebar and footer areas.

Thanks Time Thief, I have already read up on your blog :D I will take another look at the links you have provided! Thanks for your help.

You’re welcome but I do hope you are clear on the fact that this peer support forum has an exceptionally high Google pagerank due to the service of Volunteers.
raincoaster, myself and other regular Volunteers answer the majority of the questions posted here. We have done so for 8 years and that’s longer than almost all Staff have even been on Staff. There was only one Support Staff when raincoaster and I started here and there were no support docs. Expecting Volunteers to provide the services free of charge that WordPress consultants make their living from is unrealistic.

I’m very happy to take a look at your particular blog, out of the 37 million hosted at WordPress.com, but if you want that kind of personal attention I will have to bill you for it like I bill all my clients, and a website analysis starts at $500 and goes up to $3,500.
