How to get my old domain back

  Hi there,

  We used to blog as The Smoke Detector and that account has been deleted for a few months now. I want to create the website again, but even though it doesn’t exist when I try opening thesmokedetector.wordpress.com it tells me the name is already taken. Please help me get it set up again.

  Hi,
  Unfortunately, that website can’t be reused, even though you were the one who originally created and deleted it. It’s the policy of WordPress.com not to allow website names to be reused: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
