How to get notifications/messages showing?
-
I am trying to invite a friend fo admin status on my blog.
He has reported that his notification box is not loading (just blank), and going into the message archive just shows the loading symbol and nothing else. I looked for some similar issues and told him to try different browsers. I even logged in to his account (with permission) and found that no notifications were loading. The invite was certainly sent.
Any other fixes?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you talking about his email account or his WordPress account? If so, what is his WordPress username?

imendicantbias is the one.
And yes, the wordpress account. He can’t see any notifications, and in turn can’t accept the invite. -
He’s not in the UK and using TalkTalk as his ISP, is he? If so, that’s the problem and he can probably log in and accept the invitation via his phone or some other system not tied to a TalkTalk connection. They are blocking some access to the WP.com dashboard.

Your friend should be getting an email inviting them to be Editor or whatever with a link to click on the email.
Did they get the email?
Try deleting the invite and sending it again and make sure they try the email link – the email happened the last time I was invited into a blog and I did not even look at the Notifications part of my account

And have them look in the Spam file of their email. Since it’s an automated message, it often goes there.

I looked back through my Notifications Archive, and I show no notification message inviting me to Admin the blog I was added to. So I don’t think the Notifications work for adding a person to a blog
