Our name canterburychurchplant.com should be out of redemption by now. We want it back.
How do we do that?

It looks like the domain name has been squatted on a few days ago – maybe they would sell it to you

It appears as if someone has snatched up that name.

I did a whois like @TSP did then I visited the site and it has a bunch of religious ads on it – they are trying to make a few bucks off your old traffic – if you thought the $ 90 or so to get the name out of Redemption was bad, wait until you deal with a squatter
good luck

Yes they had to pay for it – it is called squatting and they hope to either get some money from the traffic that would have went to your site that now goes to their site – many hold the name hostage or put it up for bid to the highest bidder.

From a whois search – it looks like – if the email gets stripped you will need to do your own whois for the information

Most of these squatters will try and get several hundred, to as much as several thousand dollars out of people who let their domains expire or perhaps want a particular name.
