how to get pictures to tile as mosaics or as circles

  tried the variations in add media gallery, but cannot get the pictures to tile or appear in circles, etc. I followed the instructions in this site, but the pictures all come up as squares. can you t
  ell me where I went wrong? thanks

  If you are following these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/ and selecting either the Circles or Tiled Mosaic in the “Type” dropdown menu (#8 in the instructions), you should not need to edit the Gallery shortcode directly. Remember to save any changes when you change something in the Gallery by clicking the “Update Gallery” button.

  If that dropdown menu using working for you, please post back here and let us know what browser and version you are using.
