How to get plugins

I downloaded some plugins to use, but in the screen shots, it shows a “Plugins” option on the dashboard, underneath of “Tools” and “Settings” I do not have this option displayed. What do I need to do to have access to this feature?

It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:
If you don’t find what you are looking for, just let me know what you’d like to achieve with a plugin, and I’ll help you find a solution. WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features that were inspired by popular plugins. Chances are, the feature you are looking for is already there!

When I initially set up this blog it was intended to basically be used as a personal diary, but it turns out my first post got 2.5 million views in 2 weeks, up over 300k on some days. Since I have had requests for future writings, I figured I’d look into Google AdSense, and see about making some income. From what I’ve read, since my blog is directed at a particular audience, I could anticipate seeing future success with more posts.

That is definitely a strong amount of traffic. If you’ll continue writing consistently then yes, I believe you’ll have success in the future given the immediate level of interest you’ve garnered.
On WordPress.com, the only advertising platform we allow is our WordAds program.
You can apply for WordAds at http://wordads.co/signup/
Since your blog already has a custom domain, you meet the eligibility requirement to apply for the program.
