How to get readers access blog without registering on WordPress.com?
-
I am emailing my blog to selected people but when they click on the link that says “read more” it brings them to the WordPress.com login in page and they have to log in or register if they do not have a WordPress.com login. My blog is set for private but would like some readers to be able to access it when I email it to them without signing up for WordPress.com.

Hi,
if your blog is set to private, WordPress has to find out if a person who tries to access your content is the person that you you invited. For that, it is needed to keep track of the users/e-mail addresses.
This is not only true for WordPress, but also for many other services, like Google groups, Facebook, Flickr…
You could password protect each post, but once it leaks out, anyone who has it can view your content. Anyway, if you think that it’s what you need, take a look at

Hope that helps.

@revistatodomundo please don’t bump into another people’s threads. You can either read the documentation or you can start your own discussion on a Spanish support forum:

Thanks for this info mrlubomir! I did try that and it still prompts them to Login and put their password in. So it looks like they still have to create a blog in order to view….
