How to get rid of a sudden duplicate blog appearing?

  I recently deleted an old blog, out of two, that I had registered with my account but now there are suddenly duplicates of the remaining blog I have. More importantly, one of the duplicated is considered to be private, even though the settings are set to public, and the other is not. This is ultimately making the blog address private even though the settings are set to public.

  How can I fix this? I’d like to just have the one blog, without the duplicate popping up, though if I were to delete the duplicate, I’d lose my blog address for the actual one (from my understanding).

  You mean you find duplicates of https://capturethew0rld.wordpress.com/? Popping up? Please provide the addresses of any duplicate blogs that you detect.

  The main problem is that the address is exactly the same: https://capturethew0rld.wordpress.com. It shows up in [All] My Sites, my stats, and the address is the same as the other, with all the information exactly the same.
  The only difference is that, only when I go the All My Sites option or ‘choose’ to switch sites, the name of the blog shows up as the very blog I deleted, the one I signed up with years ago.
  Though, when clicked on, it shows up as the exact same as the other blog.

  Yes, I see that there are two blogs with different names and the same address in the screen shot of your All My Sites list. Also, I notice that the second of those has the same title as a deleted WordPress.com site, and that the Japanese name in the title of the deleted blog is identical to that of a former author of at least one post on https://capturethew0rld.wordpress.com.

  I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. I’m sure they will be able to explain the error, and remove the mystery site title at All My Sites.

  Hi @capturethew0rld,

  Thanks for describing the issue so clearly and providing the screenshot! Just to confirm, you would like to have the site in your screenshot titled “Hikarimatsuri’s Blog” deleted. Is that correct? This would leave the site titled CaptureTheWorld intact. Just reply back to confirm, and I’ll remove the duplicate site for you!

  I would truly appreciate it if you would be able to remove the site “”Hikarimatsuri’s Blog” while keeping the actual “CaptureTheWorld” intact.
