how to get rid of "comments off" in headlines
-
I am a teacher and trying to run my blog more as a website – so I have turend all comments off for the time being. Inuit types is the theme. Unfortunately, the phrase “comments off” appears right after each heading for the posts – same size as the headlines! How can I get this to not appear? Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Make sure you have “trackbacks” disabled as well at settings > discussion.
Then open one of your posts, scroll down to the discussion module below the text area and make sure comments and trackbacks are off for that post, update the post and then see if the comments off disappears from your main page (you might have to force refresh the page in case your browser shows you a cached version of it). If the comments off is gone, you are in good shape, just do the same for each existing published post. The change at settings > discussion will take care of any new posts.

Thanks. Tried it but it didn’t work – I can fix it by changing themes, but I’d rather not – I like this theme! Is it a glitch with the particular theme, do you think?

It disappears on some themes and on some themes it does not. It was the designer’s choice.
It can be removed with CSS if you get the Custom Design Upgrade, but that is the only way.
