How to get rid of everything but the domain name
-
Hi,
Hope you’re doing well. I would like to keep my domain title, but empty it of all content (specifically, the descriptor at the top of the blog that uses my full name). I made this blog a few years ago but never really perfected it, but it still comes up in Google searches for my name. I would like it to either be private so that it doesn’t come up in searches, or to delete my name from the public site but keep the domain alive in case I ever have the time to actually flesh out the site. Right now the title at the top of my site is “hallie like berry: writing by hallie steiner.” I’m not sure how to edit that.
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!
Hallie

http://hallielikeberry.wordpress.com/ is already an empty blog.
Are you referring to a different blog? If so, the what is the link please?

Dashboard >> Settings >> General >> Change Title & Tagline – remember to save changes
To set to Private
Dashboard >> Settings >> Reading >> Visible to only those you choose – remember to save changes

Okay, I found it: The cached version of your blog will take some time to disappear from Google. The newer version will eventually replace the one which displays your name.
To set your blog to private:
dashboard—>settings—>reading—>site visibility—> I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose—>save
