How to get rid of: “Possibly related posts: (automatically generated)”
-
At the end of my post I now have three random links that I don’t want. Is this new? how do I get rid of it? Any ideas?
cheers! -

I would also like to know how to remove it; I put a lot of effort into trying to keep readers on my page. Having this at the end of my posts (above the links to my own categories, I might add) makes it seem as if the “related posts” are mine, sending viewers away and possibly confusing them for a second.

@mousewords, did you read the first response by ellaella? She explained how to turn it off.

Actually it is part of the dashboard (underlying wordpress files) not part of the theme. If you click on design in your dashboard and then click on extras, there is a box that you can check to remove the “possibly related posts” from your blog. Check the box to the left of “Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way”

I wish it said “possibly related posts” in that check box because I didn’t realize those the links referred to. I stupidly thought it meant “turn off pingbacks.”

bfister, i thought something similar.
the problem for me with the feature is that it will happily add links to stuff that clearly doesn’t match the posting. if the feature could generate candidate cross-links which i could then approve or not (sort of like comments), then it would be really useful.
