How to get rid of the question mark (redux)

    How can I get rid of the question mark inside a circle that appears at the lower right corner of the screen when I am writing a document?

    The answer posted in response to that previous attempt is incorrect. I just found that there is a hotkey that does turn off the question mark. Unfortunately, I hit that hotkey by accident, and am not sure exactly what I hit.

    While I’m asking, what hotkey did I hit to hide the WordPress materials that appear before and after the text editing area in the classic editor? Suddenly I was no longer seeing the text boxes and radio buttons that allow the user to add Tags, Save Draft, Preview, change visibility, list revisions, and so forth. I had to close down and restart the browser to get them back.
