How to get rid of .wordpress.com

  Which plan will let me change my website from davidcblack.wordpress.com to just davidcblack.com? Is that something WordPress can do or do I need to buy the domain via GoDaddy or a similar site? Thanks for your help in advance.

  You need to buy wordpress paid plan for that.
  Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain, or transfer one you already own
