How to get scrolling banner custom placed into blog CSS

  Hello,

  I have a friend who has a scrolling picture banner as his header. If I recall correctly it was called meta picture. I would like to get this built into my blog, just not sure where to get the widget and install it?

  Hey Richard,

  Thanks for passing that along. So, there isn’t a widget or plugin you could install to enable this feature at WordPress.com (plugins are only available for self-hosted sites). However, some themes do have this capability built in. Unfortunately, the theme you’re currently using (Twenty Eleven) does not. However, here are some that do:

  It seems like you’re creating a more business-oriented site so I tried to select some themes that matched that look and feel. Let me know if any of those match what you’re looking for!

  Hello Jeremey,

  Thank you so much for the effort you have taken to find a suitable theme for me matching my requirement. I understand the limitation now after your advise.

  I looked at your themes and unfortunately didn’t find a suitable replacement to the header I currently have.

  However, now understanding the limitation I need to either live with it or find another theme.

  Thank you once again for your help with this.

  Not a problem! You’re correct – for this capability, you’ll need to select another theme that offers a slider on the home page by default. I’m sorry the themes I suggested didn’t match what you were looking for!
